The focus of this series is solitary and semi-solitary native bees and is a 99% zero waste series. All of these portraits were painted with natural and locally found pigments, and drawn with graphite. They are painted on seeded, plantable paper, so that they can eventually be planted and help nurture bees. The frames are all up-cycled.

Each painting was created using found, native, natural pigments, and also pigments from things like cement and landscaping rocks all from Hood River, OR. The binder is Natural Earth Pigment's Acrylik binder. They were all painted on hand stretched, salvaged canvas.

All pieces are painted with salvaged acrylics on salvaged canvas, mirror, or fabric.
